Online services and church arrangements during the pandemic

Holme Christian Fellowship

We are a group of ordinary people who believe that church is a great place to make friends and experience God together. We are a family who believe that church should not only be great fun but also a place where lives are radically transformed. The Fellowship was started in 2003 and will celebrate its 19th Anniversary this year.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet in the main entrance.

Our Service

20210801 103528

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our worship team. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We also share Communion during the service for all who know and love Jesus. There is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

COVID-19 Help & Updates

Procedure for entering and leaving the church building

Enter through the front door
  • Sanitise your hands
  • Go into the body of the church and select your seat – do not move seats and respect social distance rules
  • There is a "one-way" system in the corridor please keep to the right if going to the toilet or entering/exiting the building
  • Use hand gel before and after using the toilet
  • Please leave through the front entrance hall
We have been having "socially-distanced" Sunday services in line with Government regulations. These arrangements within the church building will gradually be changed over the coming months as people feel comfortable. Our main aim is to make everyone feel comfortable if attending services in person. These services along with bible studies and prayer meetings have been available from home on "Zoom". Please contact Robert Templey for link information.
