A Supporting Church

world-political-map-robinson-l

We believe that our God is able and willing to bless us in many ways, remember that we believe that he created the earth and all that is in it.

We believe in blessing others with what we have and receive. This includes our tithing (at least 10%) of what we have received.

Holme Christian Fellowship supports missionaries working with the poor and needy in many countries. In Greece we support a community church in Athens.

In India, Philippines, and Romania support is channelled through the UK charity AMEN

India feed the poor (1)

Apart from financial support we also provide second hand furniture and household equipment and act as a centre for the AMEN family Christmas Shoebox appeal.

We support our local community with the provision of the Coffee Shop, the village Foodbank and Skills4holme, nationally with Ground Level network, New Kapporet, and the Evangelical Alliance.

Our Church members are encouraged to give of their time and resources for the glory of God which includes finances, but it is left to individuals to decide what they give and is left between them and God. The Bible gives very good direction on what we should do with our resources and we believe it is much better to have willing givers.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet in the main entrance.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our worship team. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We also share Communion during the service for all who know and love Jesus. There is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
